Mexican authorities on Thursday announced the capture of Vicente Carrillo Leyva, a suspected top leader of a family-run drug gang based in Ciudad Juarez and one of the country’s most wanted figures.

Vicente formed a partnership with Sinaloa Cartel Drug Lord Juan Jose Esparragoza Moreno, his brother Rodolfo Carrillo Fuentes, his nephew Vicente Carrillo Leyva, Ricardo Garcia Urquiza and the Beltrán Leyva … His father and head and creator of the Juarez Cartel, Amado Carrillo Fuentes, had told Carrillo Leyva not to enter the drug trafficking commerce.
